As ever, the annual Dreamforce event proved to be an inspiring experience for the thousands of attendees who flocked to San Francisco including several members of the K2 team. Here are some of our highlights from Dreamforce 2019:What’s Coming Next? Dreamforce offers the ideal opportunity for Salesforce to announce any forthcoming ideas for digital innovation. Announcements for this year included:
Salesforce’s strategic partnership with Apple: Two apps are in the making. The first, The Salesforce Mobile App, is powered by AI. It delivers a powerful new user experience, with advanced analytics and features exclusive to iOS, including Siri shortcuts and Face ID. The second, Trailhead GO, allows learners to skill up anywhere and at any time with more than 700 modules covering in-demand business and tech skills.
Expansion of the partnership between Salesforce and Microsoft: Microsoft Azure is now the public cloud provider for Salesforce’s Marketing Cloud. They intend to build new integrations that will connect Sales Cloud and Service Cloud with Microsoft teams.
Customer Service and Learn Cloud Technology with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Salesforce will be streamlined: This will enable new ways to improve customer service, learn in-demand skills, and make Einstein Voice Builder compatible with Amazon Alexa and other voice assistants and devices.
Salesforce’s Content Management System (CMS): This is a hybrid CMS designed to help customers easily create and deliver personalised content to any channel or device.
Going Green Each year at Dreamforce, Salesforce takes sustainability into great consideration. This year, some fantastic initiatives are in place that will boost resource conservation, environmental responsibility and waste reduction. These ranged from entirely beefless lunches to reducing plastic consumption with refill stations. Dreamforce’s water project in association with Cupanion. Attendees downloaded the ‘Fill it Forward’ app and whenever a reusable bottle was filled, Cupanion made a donation equal to a cup of clean water to someone in need. Salesforce’s environmental considerations at Dreamforce meant that over the five days there were 115,911 refills. This means that: 3,477 lbs in single-use plastic were diverted from landfills 65,606 kWh in electricity was saved 51,001 lbs in CO2 emissions were saved 695 lbs of pollution were prevented from reaching the ocean
