The Solution Architect will collaborate closely with the sales/project team, partners, and clients to effectively scope and implement eCommerce solutions. This role requires a combination of technical expertise and leadership to provide architecture and design for eCommerce implementations, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Collaborate with sales/project teams, partners, and clients to scope and implement eCommerce solutions.
• Provide architecture and design for implementations, perform gap analysis between business requirements and the design of configurations, customizations, extensions, and interfaces.
• Responsible for the overall solution architecture, scalability, reliability, and performance of eCommerce websites.
• Architect and design leading eCommerce solutions that adhere to industry best practices.
• Well-versed in eCommerce architecture, including product, order, and inventory flows, to create detailed designs, architectural documents, and develop complex applications.
• Work with Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) and partners on site changes and lead project discovery and definition workshops.
• Capable of creating scope and development estimates, documenting requirements and designs.
• Serve as an expert, coaching and mentoring partners, customers, and developers throughout the implementation lifecycle.
• Provide technical problem resolution for complex issues.
• Develop best practices, assets/frameworks to help teams learn SFCC and develop offerings to assist customers with SFCC and related technologies.
Qualification, Education, & Experience Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred, with strong experience in eCommerce and digital transformation.
• Total of 12+ years of experience, including a minimum of 5+ years in Salesforce Commerce Cloud (B2B/B2C) with experience in 5+ medium to complex commerce implementations.
• Proven experience in designing and implementing complex end-to-end eCommerce solutions, providing expert guidance in an agile work environment.
• Prior experience leading and working with geographically dispersed development teams.
• Technical review of artifacts related to code and design, guiding the team in the right direction.
• Working knowledge of the corporate retail environment is a plus.
• Knowledge of SQL commands and procedures, batch file scripting.
• Ability to work in an onsite-offshore model, with necessary sync-up calls to clarify requirements/design queries, and mentor team members in SFCC.
Technology Requirements:
• Back-end technologies:
Strong technical experience with Salesforce Commerce Cloud (B2B/B2C).
Required certifications: Salesforce Admin and Platform Dev, Salesforce Commerce Cloud.
Experience with relational databases such as Microsoft SQL and Oracle.
Familiarity with build processes and tools (ANT, Maven), and source control processes & tools (Subversion, Mercurial).
Knowledge of web technologies, J2EE, Java, SOA, application servers, portal servers, middleware, eCommerce, enterprise application integration, databases, security, performance & scalability.
• Front-end technologies:
JavaScript, AJAX, HTML, CSS, XML, JQuery, JavaScript UI frameworks, JAVA, .NET, SQL, SQL procedures and scripting.
