Find out more by reading his interview below:

1. Tell us a little bit about yourself.

I’m a Salesforce Consultant/PM/Developer with expertise in Flow, Apex, and Lightning Web Components (LWC). Holding 10 Salesforce certifications, I bring a wealth of knowledge to my roles.

Having spent four years in consultancy, I am committed to finding optimal solutions for clients. Based in Shanghai, China, I understand and address the unique needs of the dynamic Chinese market. My dedication to excellence and in-depth understanding of Salesforce technologies make me a reliable professional in the evolving realm of CRM solutions.

2. Tell us a little about your most recent K2 project.

Recently, I successfully implemented Salesforce for a Chinese subsidiary of a Fortune Global 500 manufacturing company, integrating it with SAP and ADW. The most significant challenge arose from the cultural differences between the East and the West. Chinese enterprises prioritize speed and efficiency, while Western management emphasizes processes and standardization. In balancing the demands of both sides, I worked to foster mutual understanding and proposed several solutions for them to choose from.

3. What do you enjoy most about your job?

I enjoy delving into diverse projects and engaging with people from various countries to understand the disparities in Salesforce solutions across the globe. Witnessing these differences broadens my perspective and allows me to learn from various experiences, contributing to continuous improvement and growth.

4. Which technical development do you think will have the biggest impact on your field or the wider world of IT over the next couple of years?

I believe AI will fundamentally transform the software industry, reducing barriers for future professional developers. As technology is gradually replaced by AI, I think the value of consultants in the future will come more from their understanding of customer needs and familiarity with client businesses.

5. What advice would you give to someone who is starting out as a freelance IT consultant?

Seize every opportunity for learning, embrace challenging projects without fear, as it is through these challenges that substantial growth occurs. Additionally, achieving success for clients is tantamount to achieving personal success.
